About Research Month

Research Month 2026 is part of our ongoing efforts to foster the research mission and to celebrate the University's research enterprise, which is comprised of external grants and contracts, distinguished scholarly projects, and outstanding creative works.
In this spirit, Research Month 2026 will be held in the Interdisciplinary Research Building (2201 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20059). The 2026 Research Symposium where our students and faculty exhibit poster and oral presentations will take place in The Armour J. Blackburn Center (2397 6th St NW, Washington, DC 20059) from April 29, 2026 - May 1, 2026 in the following categories:

  • Creative Arts & Design
  • Education & Outreach
  • Environmental Science & Studies

Abstract Submissions

Abstracts for posters or presentations must be submitted by 11:59 PM Sunday, February 15, 2026 electronically via this website. Late submissions will not be accepted. Submit only your abstract. Do not submit complete research papers.


Volunteer Opportunities

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to participate as volunteers during the symposium sessions. The oral and poster presentations will take place on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026 through Friday, May 1st, 2026.
